New staking increases Four Corners east – west strike length to 21 kms
Stephenville, NL based junior mining company Triple Nine Resources Ltd announces that it had increased the size of the Four Corners Vanadium – Titanium – Magnetite (Iron Ore) Project with the staking of 70 full sized mining claims in 2 separate blocks. These claims, which increase the total number of claims from 194 to 264 covering 16,566 acres (6707 hectares) add 8.5 kms of strike length to the project area that now exends 21 kms west of the Neils Prospect marking the eastern limit of the mineralized target zone.
Earlier this summer, prospecting and surface grab samples together with the Fugro airborne survey results confirmed the potential for the 5.6 km long target zone to extend west (ref Sept 29/10 release). As a result, a group of new claims was staked in July and initial prospecting and sampling identified significant mineralization in outcrop and boulders up to several kms west of the target zone. These newly identified mineralized sites yeilded a high range of values with a best assay of 0.263% vanadium pentoxide, 14.64% titanium oxide and 50.30% iron oxide.
This recognition of significant strike length to the west and the potential for continuation of the minerlization beyond the 9 kms now inferred from the earlier prospecting and surface sampling prompted Triple Nine to add the 2 new claim blocks.
The Company has earmarked this western extension skirting along the south side of the Burgeo Highway for surface gridding, magnetometer surveying and further prospecting scheduled for early Spring, 2011. The latest configuration of the Four Corners Project will be displayed on the TNR website at www.triplenineresources.com.
